Untar is a wrapper application for Mac OS X which can uncompress and extract files from .7z, .tar, .tar.gz, .tgz, .tar.z, .z, .gz, .svgz .Z, .tar.Z, .taz, .tar.bz, .tar.bz2, .tbz, .tbz2, .bz, .bz2, .rar, and .zip file formats. Source code is included, available under the GNU Public License.

Now open source under the GPL license.
Added French localization.
Added Traditional Chinese localization.
Updated Help files.
Fixed a potential problem with extracting from 7z files.
Archives will now extract the files into their own containing folder.
